We are a Select Specialist Primary School, supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health conditions to access education and therapy.

Our children have Anxiety, School Phobia and other co-occurring conditions which may include, for example, Autism and Dyslexia but not conditions such as PDA and ADHD.

We de-escalate school-based anxiety and provide a Therapeutic and Enabling Environment with only four pupil places in our home-based school room.

The pupils’ education is semi-autonomous but formal assessment is made in line with the National Curriculum to assist future transition. Our dog, Daisy, contributes to the Therapeutic environment in the classroom and offsite.

Our staff

Ellis Wells

My previous teaching experiences in behaviour and special educational needs, makes me an ideal teacher to support children with anxiety and School Phobia. I completed a Post Experience Diploma in Psychology at the University of Worcester and I use my Psychology knowledge to support pupils in schools. I have a passion to work with children with additional needs and understand that their environment, and interactions and attachment with others has a big impact on their learning. I support and teach with enthusiasm and with humour where appropriate.

Sally Wells
